For the first time since 1978, the entire United States was able to view a solar eclipse. Down in the South we only had 86% coverage however, it was still amazing.
My friend surprised me with my own set of glasses right before the event and I immediately ran outside to view the progress. The eclipse lasted from 1:16 to 4:14 PM.
Our first glimpses at the sun!
As the eclipse intensified, several of my coworkers gathered outside to watch the magic.
I couldn't get the best picture with my glasses but I tried!
Can I just stay outside all day and stare at the sun?
Well I guess I will be in my 60s the next time this happens...
