Summer at the Parks

It had been almost two months since our last date-day in a theme park and several months since my last trip to Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure. I decided it has been long enough and J went to Orlando alone to explore SeaWorld and Universal.

We started the day at SeaWorld to take advantage of our meal plan and see the animals. I love almost all kinds of animals and seeing them makes me happy.

After exploring the aquariums and enjoying our meals, we headed to Islands of Adventure. It was also the sixth anniversary of my first time in Hogsmeade!

During the heat of the day, J took me to see the Horror Make-Up Show. I always assumed this would be scary but it was more of a comedy!

As the sun went down, the crowds started to leave, making it easier to see some of my favorite places.

We took a turn on Kang and Kodos' Twirl 'N' Hurl!

Of course I had to take advantage of the small crowds in Diagon Alley!

J is the Slytherin to my Hufflepuff <3

I am currently on a two-month no-sweet challenge and I really wanted a Butterbeer ice cream...

To end the day, J took me to my new favorite restaurant, The Bread Box!

I enjoyed an amazing grilled cheese with tater tots!

All and all it was a wonderful day and getaway.

Custom Pigcasso Art

For a few years now, I have had an obsession with micro-pigs. It started when I was introduced by a coworker to Prissy the Micro Pig. I quickly became hooked on following the activities of tiny pigs. I even have a stuffed version of Prissy from Gund. Soon, I found other accounts showcasing their little ladies and gentlemen including Mighty Madeline the artist. She dons a tiny hat and smock when completing one-of-a-kind artwork with her trusty brush and snout. Naturally, I just had to have one of her adorable creations. Each painting can be customized with your favorite colors and arrives with pictures of Madeline working on her creation. Apparently pigs, like humans, require regular brain stimulation and Madeline's mother utilizes the painting to encourage Madeline's development. The tiny pig also receives several treats during the process!

Here are the adorable pictures of Madeline working on my special painting.

I just love this so stinking much. This was made by a pig, I can't even handle the cuteness of this!

Even Maddie approves of the beautiful artwork.

Independence Day 2017

Independence Day is one of my favorite holidays, partially because it was the first holiday J and I celebrated as a couple. I love the food, fireworks, and festive attire. This year, we spent time by the pool and attended a local community event.

Isn't J just the cutest?

Fanfares and Fireworks!

The event hosted several of the area's best food trucks!

How did you spend July 4th?
