February 2017 Reading Wrap-Up

February has been a busy month and I only had time to read three books!  I feel like a slacker!

Eligible by Curtis Sittenfeild takes top spot as as my least favorite book of 2017 so far.  We read this as our February book club pick because it is "a modern retelling of Pride and Prejudice."  Normally I love retellings however, this one bored me to death.  I didn't like the story line, the characters, or the author.  However, about half of our club loved it.

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas by John Boyne is a book I have been meaning to read for years.  I picked it up at 2nd and Charles almost a year ago and I finally opened it this month.  I loved every minute of it, expect for the end.  This is a beautiful story that I can see myself reading again and again.

Where do I start with Wild by Cheryl Strayed?  I listened to this book on audio and I must admit that I did tune it out a couple of times (I also skipped the horse part, if you have read this book or watched the movie, you know why).  I liked the idea of hiking a trail to get clarity on your life.  However, Cheryl left for the trail to make better decisions and that didn't exactly happen.  I could have done with a lot less toenail talk.

Lady Gators vs. Georgia

For the last home game of the season, the Lady Gators played Georgia and won!

We have loved going to games all season and I am so glad J got another opportunity to work them.

We miss you ladies!

Another great season under our belts!  When does next season start, lol?

3rd Wedding Anniversary Trip to Busch Gardens

Since our honeymoon in 2014, J and I love to have adventures on our anniversary.  For our third anniversary, we visited Busch Gardens in Tampa for the first time.

I loved seeing all of the animals and J enjoyed the crazy roller coasters!

The one thing we really loved about Busch Gardens was how close you get to the animals!

My favorite part of the day was the Icploration Ice Show!

I even met a husky at the end!

As a Pass Member perk for the month of February, we received free lanyards!

After the park closed we had dinner at The Shops at Wiregrass.

Winter 2016 Favorites

For Valentine's Day, J gave me the Play it Proper powder from MAC Cosmetics' Trolls line.  I love this color because it is very flattering for my skin tole.  It has some shimmer so it can double as blush and highlighter.  I use it alone on my cheeks and I am obsessed.

I know, the same favorite as the past few years.  But what can I say?  I just LOVE the Christmas Penguin bath bomb from Lush!  It has a citrus scent and leaves my bath water feeling smoothing and refreshing.  Plus, the bubbles have a slight blue tint!

Another of my Christmas staples, the Champagne Toast candle from Bath and Body Works. I don't know how to describe this scent but I wish I could buy it as a perfume!  It can be a bit overpowering but when I burn it in my living room, it is perfect.  The packaging is always adorable and festive.

You know how sometimes you just a light book that makes you happy?  The Unexpected Everything was that and more!  I loved each character and storyline and the book ended in a perfect wrap-up that made me cry with joy.

For the first Epcot International Festival of the Arts, I created unique festival ears for Ears To You Bowtique.  I think these are the best ears I have made yet.  I received several compliments at Epcot and I felt pretty wearing them.  I will be making more for ETYB so stay tuned!

How is my dry skin surviving these first few days of winter?  This mask.  I don't know how it does it, but it has saved my skin from cracking and hurting.  I received it in a Target Beauty Box but this is one product I will always keep in my stash!

Even though I only wore this sweater once, I am absolutely in love with it and I hope I can keep it forever!  Who knew the kid's section at Target would make my holiday brighter?!

You all know that I love monograms and these perfect earrings from my husband are my new obsession.  They match just about everything I love them!

Special thank you to my Secret work Santa because this blanket scarf is amazing.  It will be perfect for cold days and traveling.  I also love the colors!

Sing blew me away!  I was hoping to like the movie however, I left absolutely in love with it!  J and I saw it for a date night and we both enjoyed it.
