Pre-Birthday Lilly Pulitzer Shopping

Even though my birthday is a month away, J surprised me with the ability to purchase my birthday Lilly Pulitzer dress early!  We had visited the store earlier in the week because I was having a bad day, and he wanted to cheer me up.  During our time there, I fell in love with a dress on the sale rack.  On Saturday morning, J told me that he was taking me back to the store to buy me the dress!  While we were there, I tried on two skirts and became obsessed with the blue one.  However, we only took home the dress, and I cannot wait to wear it for my birthday at Disney.

The first item I tried on was this adorable skort.  I loved that it had shorts and the way it fit.  This would be great for summer because you can dress it up or down.

Next, I tried on this skirt which was too short for my taste.  It fit about the same and the pattern was nice but I wasn't blown away.

The dress will be making its grand appearance in my birthday post at the end of August!

Birchbox July 2015

For the July 2015, Birchbox's theme was Go Bold.  They really nailed that for me!

My first sample was a texturizing dry shampoo that smells amazing.  At first I thought something was wrong with my product however, you just have to push the nozzle really hard the first time.  This leaves my hair smelling great, oil-free, and enhances my curls.

My favorite sample this month is this amazing eye cream.  I have been wanting to try an eye cream because I have dark circles that are often puffy.  I have been using this every day and I already notice a difference!  A little bit of this cream goes a long way!

I received a Whish shaving cream a little while back and I have been obsessed with it.  Thankfully, this body butter is just as good!  I adore the blueberry scent!

The Balm is one of my favorite brands so I was excited to spot this sample in my box.  I am very pale so I disappointed at first because I assumed this bronzer would be too dark for me.  Boy was I wrong!  This adds a touch of sunkissed glow to my pale face and I can build it up if needed.

The sample choice this month was for different colors of the Stila liquid lipstick.  Unfortunately, I was unable to ask for the coral so I chose the pink.  This is very bold and extremely long lasting!  It takes a little while to get the hand of it but once you apply it correctly, it stays all day!

What bold items did you get this month?

Girl's Day at Frozen Summer Fun

C and I have been friends for two years but it feels like we have known each other forever!  Before our day began, I made us Elsa and Anna inspired ears.  Unfortunately, I did not have the right colors in my fabric collection for Anna but I did my best.  I am very proud of the way they turned out.  If you would like to check out the first pair that I made, visit here.

When we arrived at Hollywood Studios, we were greeted by a line of adorable ducks.  I don't know why, but Disney ducks are the cutest!

We arrived just in time to grab the perfect spot for the parade!

Elsa's float was absolutely amazing!

During the parade, Elsa created snow and sang Let It Go!  (More pictures coming soon)

For lunch, we enjoyed sandwiches at the Sci-Fi Drive-In Theater.  It was a great place to cool down and enjoy a quiet meal.

After exploring for a little while, we enjoyed the First Time in Forever Sing-A-Long.  This show is better than last year and I love all of the new jokes!

A Frozen day is never complete without ice cream!

C's first Mickey Bar!  It was also the first time she had worn ears to the parks!

Sadly, just a few minutes later, the bar went SPLAT...

After the ice cream fiasco, we went to say goodbye to Animation Academy.  Everyone else had the same idea so the lines were out of control.

Our next adventure was to find Mr. Gold's shop on the Streets of America.  Mr. Gold is one of the main characters in ABC's Once Upon A Time.  We both love the show so it was fun to point out all of the props we recognized.

I couldn't pass up my opportunity to sing in the rain!

I realized that my ears could work for Elsa, Sadness, and Stich!  Three of my favorite Disney characters!

To end our day, we took a ride on the Great Movie Ride.  They recently made some changes to the ride so we wanted to check them out.  I was happy to find some of my favorite movies featured during the ending credits.

I was nervous to wear my newest Parkbound button because I lost my Baymax button last time.  However, I did bring it along for a photoshoot.

Before driving home, we stopped at Starbucks for some Frozen treats.  Special thank you to the cast member who made my day with this personalized frappuccino!

We had an amazing day and I cannot wait until our next Disney girl's day adventure!
