Dad's Birthday Disney Day

To celebrate my Dad's 2015 birthday, we went on a father-daughter trip to Disney!  Big surprise, I know.  We planned to do some park-hopping so we arrived mid-morning.  To start the day, we enjoyed some snacks at our favorite hotel, the Boardwalk Resort.

Then we started the day in Epcot.  Our first stop was to grab my Dad a Disney button!

After wandering through the countries for a bit, I took him to see the sneak peek of Inside Out!  The movie was already playing in theaters so I was very happy to see that the sneak peek was still available.  Click here to see my opening day experience for Inside Out!

Even though I love all of the emotions, Sadness is my favorite character!

I made the ears myself and I am so proud of how they turned out!

After exploring Epcot, we walked to the Beach Club Resort for lunch at Beaches and Cream.

Our waitress noticed Dad's birthday button and decided to surprise him with a special birthday wish!

To celebrate the day, we decided to share their signature banana split.

It did not take us long to devour most of the dessert.

After lunch we took the boat to Hollywood Studios.  During the ride, Dad gave his balloon to a little boy.

This year's Frozen Summer Fun was adorable.  The sing-a-long was my favorite part!

In one of the theaters, they showed the Frozen short that appears before Cinderella.  I wanted to watch the short again and again.

After Hollywood Studios we took a bus to the Polynesian Resort to have drinks at Trader Sams.  Unfortunately, there was a hour wait for the bar so we took the monorail to the Grand Floridian.  After our cocktails we walked around the resort and Dad surprised me with the Red Right Return Lilly Pulitzer shorts I have been lusting over!  It is his birthday and he bought me an early birthday present.  What an awesome Dad!

After the Grand Floridian we headed home.  On our way back to our car, we spotted an adorable family of ducks.

Sleeping in the Window

Seven is my favorite cat (don't tell the others!).  He is very shy and faces high amounts of anxiety around people, even J.  That makes me love him even more because I can relate to him.  Seven is always there for me when I am sick or upset, and he is usually waiting at the door for me when I come home from work.  However, my favorite thing about Seven is his undeniable cuteness!  The other day I found him napping in the window, and it was cuteness overload!

Inside Out - Opening Day

I have been excited for Inside Out since Disney first announced the movie.  I am a very emotional person so the plot and characters captured my attention immediately.  At first I was draw to Joy and attempted to purchase the Joy Tsum Tsum however, she quickly sold out.  The night before the movie opened, I came the quiz "Which 'Inside Out' Character are You?" on Buzzfeed.  At first I was upset to receive Sadness.  However, I decided to embrace my result, after all, blue is my favorite color!

I had never Disneybounded before and this would be the perfect time to start!  I chose my Lilly Pulitzer blue button down, Banana Republic Dark Skinny Jeans, and Blue Glitter TOMS.

To accessorize, I made a Sadness inspired Pridelet.  To learn more about my Etsy shop or to purchase a Pridelet, please click here

I purchased this adorable fabric from Joann Fabrics with the plan to make a skirt for an upcoming Disney trip.  I did not have time before the movie to make a shirt, so I used part of the fabric to make a bow.  Sadness got a little squished but I love it!

At the theater I spotted someone else Disneybounding as Anger!

The movie was beyond incredible.  I loved the characters, theme, and plot.  I feel like this movie is great for all ages and I plan to watch it a million more times.

Discount Finds

The other day, J and I were having a bad day.  To cheer us up, we decided to enjoy a fancy lunch and an afternoon of shopping.  I came home with a few amazing finds at surprising prices!

Tuesday Mornings

Tuesday Morning is a fun place to walk through however, I rarely find anything that catches my eye.  As I was browsing the craft isle, I found two Vera Bradley items for less than $5 each!  I have not decided what I am going to do with them but they were too good to pass up!

I love the Target clearance bin in the beauty section of Target because you never know what you are going to find.  Hidden in the back I found three Lilly Pulitzer nail files for a dollar each!  I only bought one because I have plenty of nail files.  The pattern is just too cute and it was only a dollar!

Lastly, we went to Ross and I spotted yet another discounted Vera Bradley find!  Watercolor was one of my favorites in college and I am currently considering purchasing a Kindle.  Win-win in my mind!
