My First Alex and Ani

Alex and Ani bracelets have been all the rage recently however, I did not discover them until they arrived at Walt Disney World.  Naturally, I became obsessed with their simple design and adorable charms.  Thanks to a lovely birthday present from my uncle, I am now the proud owner of my first Alex and Ani bracelet!

Finding this adorable package on my doorstep made my day.  You are right Mickey, there is magic did arrive by mail!

Of course the bracelet's package was sealed with a Cinderella sticker.

The bracelet even matches my wedding rings!  I have worn my Alex and Ani everyday since it arrived and I cannot wait to purchase more!

Do you have any?  If so, which charms do you wear?

Pixi Giveaway Prize!

I am not normally someone who wins contests or giveaways.  However, I was surprised by Pixi Beauty when they chose me as the winner of a recent Twitter contest!

I received the package when I was home sick from work so it really made my day!  Even though I adore this brand, I have never owned one of their products.  I only follow them on Twitter and goggle at their lip balms in Target.

The package included this gorgeous card.

With a handwritten note inside.  I am a sucker for handwritten notes!

Pixi's packaging is simple and elegant.

I chose the color Light Glow and it was a great match for me.

When I first applied it, I was afraid that the pigment would be too dark for me.

However, it blends well and the texture is super soft.

I like that you can apply the concealer with either the roller ball or by squeezing it out of the tube.  I have found that it works best for me if I use the roller under my eyes and then squeeze a tiny bit of the product out to apply with a brush on my trouble spots.

My M.A.C. Makeover and Haul

I recently purchased a M.A.C. lipstick which had been on my wishlist for years (Check it out on my Instagram).  While at Macy's, J and I learned that a Simpsons collection would be debuting soon.  J is a major fan of the Simpsons so I thought it would fun to check out the products.  I loved their lip colors but I was not sure if I would wear any of the eye shadows. A sweet M.A.C. consultant named Sarah taught me how to apply the colors while giving me a full makeover.  I decided not to purchase the Simpsons pallet however, I did fall in love with the BB Cream she used!

Here are the products I purchased after my makeover.  I love the packaging on each one, especially the Simpsons Lipglass.

Birthday Weekend part 3

For the second day of my birthday weekend, J and I met my dad at Hollywood Studios to experience the Frozen Summer Fun one last time.  On the way there, our bus broke down so, naturally, we had to take a selfie!

Even though the park was packed, we were able to enjoy some quiet moments.

My favorite Frozen event is the First Time in Forever Sing-Along.  I love laughing at the jokes, singing at the top of my lungs, and seeing Elsa decorate the stage with her ice powers.

That afternoon I went back to our hotel room while my dad and J watched the football game at the Boardwalk's ESPN club.  The All-Star Music Resort was gorgeous in the rain.

After my rest, I hopped on a bus to the Boardwalk Hotel.  On the way I met three friendly college students who made my journey more enjoyable!  Once I arrived, I was blown away by the Boardwalk's post-rain beauty.

To finish our day, J and I went back to Hollywood Studios to watch the Frozen Fireworks.  After the show, Disney's magical snow filled Hollywood Boulevard!

On Sunday, J and I went to the Magic Kingdom before heading home.  I was so tired that I didn't even take pictures of the fall decorations.

Birthday Weekend Part 2

To celebrate my birthday, J and I had afternoon tea in the Garden View Tea Room at the Grand Floridian Resort.

The room was perfect!  I felt sophisticated and pretty in my new Lilly Pulitzer dress that J surprised me with for my birthday.

We were surrounded by old Florida charm and I adored this painted mirror that hung above our table.

Our waitress, Riley, helped me chose the Buckingham Tea which includes a pot of tea, tradional sandwiches, scones and jam, and dessert.  I picked the Mad Hatter's Tea Party, "Medium-bodied Ceylon tea leaves scented with the essential oils of vanilla and natural fruits, including passion fruit and pomegranate" (Source).

I have never liked tea however, I enjoyed the Mad Hatter so much that J and I purchased a container of it after our meal.

The food was amazing and even filled us up!

After we finished, Riley gave me a Princess Rose that is only found at the Grand Floridian Resort.  Disney bred the rose to create an amazing scent.  I wish I could just bottle this fragrance and wear it as a perfume!

After tea, J and I wandered the hotel.

At four o'clock a band plays in the lobby and their music radiates throughout the hotel.

My favorite part of the hotel, aside from the tea room, was the shops!  They even sold Lilly Pulitzer!

Of course, my birthday would not be complete without a mini-photoshoot!

A special thank you to the friendly castmembers who took these gorgeous photos of us.

We enjoyed the Grand Floridian so much that we decided to explore the other hotels on the monorail line.  We started with the Contemporary Resort where J and I were crowned Trivia King and Trivia Queen.  It must be a passholder thing!

When we boarded the monorail again, we met a new friend who blessed us with dinner at the Polynesian Resort's Luau!  It was an exciting dinner show with dancing and amazing food!

When we returned to our hotel room, I was greeted with this adorable birthday surprise from the hotel!  The card included a signed photo of Mickey.
